The North Buckhead CivicAssociation has announced a schedule of four Tuesday "visioning"meetings which will provide residents and opportunity tohave their say in the design of the area around the GA 400 overpass at MountainWay, being planned as Mountain Way Common park.

Each of the fourmeetings—Feb. 12, March 12, April 16 and May 7—will be held from 7-8 p.m. inthe Fellowship Hall of St. James Church, located at the corner of Loridans andPeachtree Dunwoody roads.
According to an articleBecky Katz of Park Pride in the NBCA December newsletter, “Park Pride'saward-winning Park Visioning program has produced 28 master plans, thefruition of 28 community engagement processes involving hundreds of neighbors, scores of meetings and an inestimable number of person-hours.”
The article stated thatthe end products, “unified statements of community will, are manifested inprofessionally rendered conceptual design documents accompanied by projectdetails and cost estimates.”
Park Pride selected Mountain Way Common as oneof their Visioning projects for 2012-13.A key element of theVisioning process is engaging the community and collecting input through aseries of public meetings. The whole community is encouraged to come and"have their say" about the future Mountain Way Common. The meetings aremost effective if attendees participate in all (or most) of the sessions.
The focus for each ofthe four meetings will be:
Feb.12- Wish List Creation.Come prepared to dream big about the greenspace.
March12- Design Charrette. Ahands-on design workshop.
April16- Preliminary Design Review.Park Pride will create three design options using the information collected. Attendeeswill select their favorite elements of each design option.
May7- Final Concept Presentation.View the conceptual master plan and rank priorities for each amenity.
