Years of tradition willreturn to the Garden Hills neighborhood of Buckhead Sunday, Sept. 23, with the41^st Ice Cream Social—a four-hour event filled with activities, foodand, of course, ice cream.

Garden Hills is “puttingthe social back into the ice cream social” from 3-7 p.m. that day to benefit the buildingprogram for the new Neighborhood Pool House, with live music, food trucks, Fado’sbeer, the Falcons-Chargers game, bingo, an artists’ market and lots of children’sactivities.
A $10 wristbandpurchased at the site is required for admission and includes unlimitedactivities and a scoop of ice cream. It does not, however, cover purchases fromthe food trucks or beer.
The center of the actionwill be the Neighborhood Pool House, soccer field, pool area and playground,which are located where Rumson and Bolling roads come together with BrentwoodDrive in the neighborhood off East Wesley Road.
Activities will includea Home Depot kids workshop, storytelling by Barnes & Noble, nail painting,hair braiding, massage chairs, and a number of games, such as tic-tac-toe Frisbee,swimming pool noodle putt putt, hula hoop hopscotch, an obstacle course, beachball volley ball, balloon badminton and also a corn hole and foam party.
“We have had tremendoussupport from Buckhead companies,” said Linda Herndon, this year’s chairman forthe Ice Cream  Social.
