Del Frisco’s Grille to open on Peachtree in Buckhead Oct. 13 with double-decker outdoor patio

Just as road construction work is to be drawing to a close onPeachtree Boulevard Phase II, the new Del Frisco’s Grille is supposed to openOct. 13, in the former stand-alone building in front of the Mandarin OrientalHotel and the Mansion on Peachtree condos at 3376 Peachtree Road.

The plantings will not be in place on Peachtree in that areauntil November or December, but patrons of the Texas-based restaurant group’sfirst foray into the Atlanta market will be able to look out on the newboulevard treatment of Peachtree from a double-decker outdoor cooled and heatedpatio.
The high-end Craft and Craft Bar restaurant that previouslyoccupied the location had an outdoor patio on the ground level. But DelFrisco’s is adding a second level to the patio, according to Denise Starling, amember of the Special Public Interest 12 district’s Development ReviewCommittee. 
This will be the Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group ‘s fifth DelFrisco’s Grille and the chain has hired Mike Fuller as executive chef.The menu will feature local favorites such as Brunswick Shrimp& Grits, Savannah Blue Crab Toast, Anson Mills Grit Cakes, and DillwoodFarms Collard Greens. It also will have the chain’s signature Wood Oven-BakedFlatbreads, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, and Pimento Cheese Fritters.
The restaurant was designed by Atlanta-based The Johnson Studio  and blends “industrial and warmelements,” according to reports.  
Del Frisco's also operates Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak Houseand Sullivan's Steakhouse and has a collection of 30 restaurants around thecountry.
The Del Frisco’s Grille is reportedly the moderately pricedrestaurant of the group. Checks average $45 to $55, according to the filing.Bills at the company’s other concept, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, topout at about $100.
