Car show Saturday to support APD insurance fund

Atlanta Police ChiefGeorge Turner will be joining representatives from the Atlanta PoliceFoundation and APD staff Saturday at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Buckheadfor a classic car show that will benefit the APD’s life insurance program.  

The free and open to the public car show takesplace Saturday (Sept. 8) from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the church, located at3434 Roswell Road N.W. For anyone wanting to enter a classic car in the show, the fee is $25 per car, which will goto help support the insurance program for Atlanta police officers.
Cars that will be ondisplay at the show include Pink ’58 Cadillac Sedan Deville, ’60 Corvette, a’56 Chevy Bel Air coupe, a ’41 Packard, a Triumph TR6 supercharged, a ’63 ChevyCorvair convertible, a Ford Model A, a vintage Mustang, a ’65 Ford FalconFutura convertible, a ’65 Buick Skylark sport coupe and more.
Dave Wilkinson,president and CEO of the Atlanta Police Foundation, and the Dr. Victor Pentz,senior pastor at the church, will also be in attendance.
