Coalition doubles offer for police to live in Buckhead

The Buckhead now hastwice expanded its offer to entice police to select Buckhead as theirresidence, increasing the initial offer of assistance to eight officer to thenew level of 16 officers.

After the program wasannounced last year to help eight officers select Buckhead for their residence,that cap was quickly reached and four additional slots were added. Now theoffer has been extended again with another four additional slots.
The program is a meansof increasing the exposure of law enforcement in the community.  Withcertain restrictions, and support of the Atlanta Police Foundation, Atlantapolice who relocate to Buckhead receive a bonus of $3,000 each. 
Of all the officerswho have moved within the Atlanta city limits since the joint incentive programbegan, 11 percent have opted to call Buckhead home.
Properties that nowhave this benefit of police officers living on their premises are LindmontApartments, Arbor Gates at Buckhead, Metropolitan at Buckhead, Parkside atBuckhead, Camden Brookwood, 771 Lindbergh Apartments, Lenox HeightsCondominium, Overlook at Lindbergh, Post Lindbergh, 1050 Lenox Park Apartments,The Darlington and a single-family private residence..
