Atlanta’sCommercial Board of Realtors presented former Realtor Sam Massell with its HenryHill Robinson Award Dec. 14 at its annual business meeting.

The award isfor “his outstanding leadership and tremendous contributions to the improvementof the City in general, as well as to the real estate industry in Atlanta.”  
Massell,who now serves as president of the Buckhead Coalition, a chamber of commercetype nonprofit for the northern quadrant of Atlanta, was very active incommercial real estate  in Atlanta for  20 years, prior to going full-time into the politicalarena, which led to him serving four-years as mayor of Atlanta.  
 As vice president of Allan-Grayson RealtyCompany, Massell was a charter member of the Real Estate Board’s Million-DollarClub, and three times earned the Alvin B. Cates Trophy for the outstanding dealof the year.  As therecipient of the Robinson award, Massell pointed out his history in relatedbusiness has often credited “developers with great achievements inbrick-and-mortar, but such construction normally needs the attention of thecommercial Realtor to bring the deal to profit status.”
